Licenses/Certifications: Ohio Nurse Practitioner license (or eligible), ACLS preferable
Experience: Prior cardiothoracic surgical or inpatient hospital experience preferred

What You'll DoManage post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular surgical patients
Perform emergency surgeries when necessary
Take consults and referrals from hospital departments (ED, Cath Lab, etc.)
Assist during surgeries, including vein harvesting and tissue retrieval for bypass procedures
Write prescriptions and coordinate care plans
Interpret diagnostic tests and order additional testing
Document procedures and patient encounters accurately in EMR (Epic)
What You NeedActive Ohio Nurse Practitioner license, with experience in cardiothoracic or vascular surgery preferred
Ability to perform post-op management, emergency procedures, and assist in surgery
Strong clinical skills, including vein harvesting and emergency response
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
About the Assignment
This role is based at a top hospital in Springfield, Ohio, focused on inpatient, hospital-based care for adult and geriatric populations. The position offers the flexibility of in-house and call coverage, providing a critical support role within the surgical and ICU teams, contributing to excellent patient outcomes.
