Opportunity:
Nurse Practitioner - Surgery - Cardiothoracic
Job Details:
Locum coverage needed at least 1 to 2 weeks per month until 2027
Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with floor call/beeper coverage from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Saturday and Sunday require 24-hour onsite support with floor call or OR call coverage
Inpatient/hospital-based practice setting serving adult and geriatric patient populations
Average of 20 to 26 patients per day in a Level 2 Trauma designated facility
Provide post-operative care for all types of cardiothoracic and vascular patients
Perform emergency surgery on cardiothoracic and vascular patients
Take consults and referrals from the Emergency Department, Cath Lab, and all hospital providers
Responsibilities include vein harvesting, retrieval of vascular tissues for use as a bypass conduit, assisting in surgery, writing prescriptions, coordination of care, rounding, and interpreting and ordering tests
May be required to supervise or teach as part of the role
EMR documentation via Epic
Board certification in Vascular Surgery required
Active Ohio license or compact license required
Active ACLS and DEA required
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery services required
Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required, no exceptions
