Job Opportunity: Locum Nurse Practitioner - Cardiothoracic Surgery Join a dynamic team in Springfield, Ohio, where you will provide essential care in a leading regional medical center specializing in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. This inpatient facility is committed to delivering high-quality healthcare and is known for its supportive and collaborative environment. The position requires at least one to two weeks of coverage per month through 2027. Become a part of an impactful practice while enjoying the charm and community of Springfield.
Job Responsibilities: Provide post-operative care for cardiothoracic and vascular patients.
Perform emergency surgeries on cardiothoracic and vascular patients.
Consult and take referrals from the Emergency Department, Cath Lab, and other hospital providers.
Assist in surgeries and manage vein harvesting during heart surgeries.
Write prescriptions and coordinate patient care.
Conduct daily rounds and interpret and order tests as needed.
Engage with adult and geriatric patient populations.
Qualifications: Board certified in Vascular Surgery (Required)
5 years of experience in Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery services (Required)
Clean background with no malpractice or licensing issues (Required)
License and Certification Requirements: Active Ohio nursing license or compact license (Required)
Active ACLS certification (Required)
Active DEA registration (Required)
