Locums - Springfield, Ohio NP/PA Cardiothoracic Surgery Opening
Clinical Role
Provide inpatient Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery coverage for an ongoing need due to growth. The provider will assist in surgery, manage postoperative patients, and provide floor and call coverage.
Assignment Details
Initial Coverage:
September 8-18, 2026, with possible adjustment
Ongoing Need:
Approximately 1-2 weeks per month through 2027
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PMFloor/beeper call, 3:00 PM-7:00 AMWeekend 24-hour onsite support and floor/OR callOn call while on assignmentApproximately 10 callback hours on weekends Clinical Responsibilities
Approximately 20-26 patients per dayCardiothoracic and vascular surgical assistancePostoperative patient managementEmergency surgical supportVein harvesting and vascular tissue retrieval for bypass conduitConsults from ED, Cath Lab, and inpatient teamsRounding, testing, prescriptions, and care coordinationAdult and geriatric patients Practice Setting
100% inpatientTrauma Level IIEpic EMR Requirements
Board Certified - RequiredMinimum 5 years of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery experience - RequiredActive Ohio license in hand - RequiredActive DEA - RequiredACLS - RequiredVein harvesting experience - RequiredClean professional history with no malpractice or licensing issues - Required About Springfield, Ohio
