General Summary In collaboration with the physician, provides diagnosis and treatment of patients within the scope of practice as defined by all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, protocols, etc. and within the individual Advanced Practice Provider's (APP) particular clinical specialty area, licensure, and competency level.

What You?ll Champion:
Full-time Physician Assistant (PA) or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with RNFA certification opportunity with a leading cardiac surgery team at WellSpan York Hospital.
Join a highly collaborative practice featuring 4 cardiac surgeons and 4 experienced APPs.
Four 10-hour shifts, Monday-Friday, with a shared call rotation.
Provide comprehensive cardiac surgery, critical care, and inpatient management for pre- and post-operative patients.
Perform consults, daily rounds, patient assessments, discharge planning, and care coordination.
Support a busy cardiac surgery service across two operating rooms while managing inpatient and ICU patient care.
Serve as a surgical team member by first assisting in adult cardiac surgery cases and performing endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting to support exceptional patient outcomes.
Cardiac surgery experience required; Acute Care NP or PA-C certification required.
Must reside within 40 minutes of WellSpan York Hospital for call coverage.

Minimum Education: Masters Degree For Nurse Practitioner. Required or
Bachelors Degree For Physician Assistant. Required
Masters Degree For Physician Assistant. Preferred
Work Experience: 1 year Relevant experience. Required
Licenses: Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or
Licensed Physician Assistant Upon Hire Required and
Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required
Courses and Training: BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and
Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners and appropriate clinical specialty certification. Upon Hire Required or
Physician Assistant - Graduate of accredited physician assistant program. Upon Hire Required
