This community hospital is a well-established healthcare facility serving the Anderson region with comprehensive surgical services. The facility features a 15-bed department and holds a Level 3 trauma designation, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for surgical professionals.
Opportunity:
Physician - Surgery - General
Job Details:
Provide general surgery coverage every weekend from Thursday 7:00PM through Monday 7:00AM, or every other weekend on the same schedule
Handle 8 patient encounters per shift in a 15-bed department
Perform adult general surgery procedures in a Level 3 trauma facility
Manage trauma cases as required by the facility's trauma designation
Must hold an active Indiana medical license - no out-of-state or IMLC licenses accepted
Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)
BLS certification required
Estimated credentialing timeframe of 60 days
Locum Tenens engagement with an anticipated start date of January 1, 2027 on an ongoing basis

Lodging accommodations available at provider's choice up to $200/night
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
