Job Summary:
Mission Hospital, located in Asheville, North Carolina, is excited to welcome seasoned/experienced (mid-career) acute care surgeons to our busy ACS level I program.
Qualified Candidates: Board certified in General Surgery
BC/BE in Surgical Critical Care
ATLS certification
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Please note that this position does not offer visa support
Highlights: Equal mix of trauma, surgical critical care and emergency general surgery
No 24-hour shift requirement; day shifts are 10.5 hours; nights are 13.5
Large, stable and established group; worked together for many years; Minimal turnover
Close team collaboration, support and coverage including time-off requests
Surgical residency offers opportunity to teach Resident support on trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery services
APP support on trauma and emergency general surgery service
Research support offered locally and through HCA's National Center Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Research
