Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a self-motivated General Surgery Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Lovelace family in beautiful Albuquerque, New Mexico.
About the Position:
Lovelace Medical Group Independence Square
Join a surgical team of 6 physicians and 2 APP s
Inpatient and Outpatient mix
Daily Patient Average: 18-24 on clinic days
Mon-Fri, 8-5
EMR: Epic (Ambience AI tool)
Required Skills/Procedures
Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Candidates should be comfortable managing pre- and post-operative patients, collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing compassionate, patient-centered care. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities are essential for success in this role.
Candidate Qualifications :
Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner or physician assistant program
Current licensure in the state of New Mexico
must be able to obtain a DEA registration and New Mexico board of pharmacy prescriptive authority by the time of employment
excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills are required
experience and medical weight management is strongly preferred
