Job description
Seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join a high-performing General Surgery service.
Board Certified Physician Assistant (PA)
Must have active NC license and NC DEA
Start Date: October 1, 2025 for 3 months
Flexible Scheduling: Full-time or part-time choose between three 12-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts
Shift Hours: Monday Thursday, 7:00 AM 5:00 PM
Join a collaborative surgical team where you will:
Round on pre- and post-operative patients
Evaluate and manage new consults
Coordinate patient care
Occasionally assist in post-op clinic (non-operative position)
Support Team Includes:1 attending surgeon
1 senior resident (PGY 4/5)
1 junior resident (PGY 1/2)
Ideal Candidate:Familiarity with acute surgical conditions such as: Abdominal pain, Appendicitis, Gallbladder disease, Bowel obstruction, Hernias, Diverticulitis, Pancreatitis, Perforated viscus, Soft tissue infections
EMR: Cerner Powerchart
Competitive hourly rate, malpractice, travel and housing covered as needed
