Start Date: ASAP
End Date/Duration: Ongoing / TBD
Shift: Inpatient Rounding, Clinic 1 day/week, Emergency Room call
Hours/Week: Flexible, approx. 15-20 patients post-op in clinic
Employment Type: Full-Time Locum
License/Certs: Active Louisiana state license preferred
Experience: Prior APP experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred
Pay & Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00/hr (please note, actual pay to be discussed upon application)

What You ll Do:
Provide inpatient rounding and surgical consults for cardiovascular procedures
Cover emergency room call as needed
Manage post-operative patient care (15-20 patients in clinic weekly)
Participate in approximately 90 surgeries/procedures per month including CABG, VATS, thoracotomies, lobectomies, AAA repairs, arterial bypasses, and valve replacements
Collaborate with a team of 2 cardiovascular surgeons and 3 APPs to ensure optimal patient outcomes
What You Need:
Valid Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Louisiana
Prior experience in cardiovascular or thoracic surgery preferred
Strong clinical assessment and surgical support skills
Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
