Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Trauma
Job Details:
Full-time Nocturnist role providing advanced overnight trauma and acute care surgical services
Manage trauma admissions, emergency general surgery cases, and inpatient care
Perform patient evaluations, develop individualized care plans, and interpret diagnostic tests
Assist trauma surgeons with procedures, resuscitation, and operative support
Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary clinical team
Maintain all documentation and clinical workflows utilizing Epic EMR
Practice autonomously while managing multiple complex tasks appropriately
Support quality, safety, and performance metrics of the Trauma Surgery service
Engage in professional development and potential leadership opportunities
Minimum of two (2) years of trauma surgery experience required; completion of a surgical fellowship highly preferred
Must be a graduate of an accredited PA program with a Master's degree in PA Studies
NCCPA Certification required with no exceptions
Must hold an unrestricted Colorado Physician Assistant license
BLS certification required with no exemptions
Must be eligible for DEA and Medicare/Medicaid provider status
Clean malpractice and license history highly preferred
Must have no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA
Visa sponsorship not available; J-1 and H-1B visas not accepted
