General Surgery Residency Program Director Augusta, Georgia
A leading regional healthcare organization is seeking an experienced General Surgeon to lead and further develop a new General Surgery Residency Program in Augusta, Georgia. This position combines clinical practice with significant protected effort devoted to program leadership and administration.
The Program Director will oversee the organization and operation of the residency while fostering a high-quality educational environment that prepares residents for a variety of surgical careers.
Position Highlights
Lead and shape a developing General Surgery Residency Program
Maintain responsibility for the program s leadership, administration and daily operations
Develop curriculum, policies and educational initiatives
Ensure continued compliance with ACGME requirements and state approvals
Recruit, mentor and evaluate residents
Coordinate clinical rotations across multiple departments
Work alongside an experienced and committed faculty team
Maintain an active general surgery practice
