Locum Tenens Neurosurgery Job Details Specialty: Neurosurgery Position Type: Locum tenens physician job Location: Kingwood, Texas, in the Houston area Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,480-$7,670 Start Date: May 1, 2026 Duration: Approximately 12 weeks Schedule: 12-hour day shifts with 24-hour coverage needs as scheduled Estimated Hours: 36 hours per week Clinical Volume: Approximately 7 patients per day Electronic Medical Record: Meditech Practice Environment: Level II trauma center with trauma and comprehensive stroke coverage Neurosurgery Physician Job Requirements Physician with a minimum of 1 year of neurosurgical clinical experience Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery Current, unrestricted medical license and eligibility to practice in Texas Clean professional file required for consideration Ability to provide reliable locum tenens coverage for scheduled dates and clinical needs Strong communication, clinical judgment, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills Neurosurgeon Responsibilities Provide neurosurgical coverage for trauma and comprehensive stroke patients Respond to emergency consultations and evaluate patients with acute neurologic and neurosurgical conditions Deliver timely diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up care Collaborate with emergency medicine, trauma, stroke, critical care, radiology, and surgical teams Perform or oversee appropriate neurosurgical interventions within the scope of practice Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in the Meditech electronic medical record Support continuous coverage and high-quality patient care in a Level II trauma environment Apply now for this locum tenens Neurosurgery Physician opportunity in Kingwood, Texas, near Houston.
