General Surgeon Locums Job in Kentucky Potential Ongoing Opportunity with Top Kentucky Health System
Job Requirements for Assignment :
Kentucky state medical license required
Board Certified/Eligible General Surgeon (IMLC will not be considered)
Shifts available: 24 Hour Call (MD/DO), OR 24 Hour Call (MD/DO), Orientation (MD/DO) (total shifts needed 10/month)
Privileges available: Full Privileges, Temp Privileges
MUST be Board Certified with active Kentucky License. Clear malpractice and background required for privileging timeline, targeting November 2026.
Credentials Accepted: Physician (MD/DO)
Board level: Board Certified
Boards: General Surgery
Certifications: BLS
Workload: 24-Hour Call: 1-3 hours of inpatient rounding (with clinical support staff), and pager call coverage (ED - no support staff only MD on call)
Skills/Procedures: General Surgery procedures, ED call
Other Role Notes: Shifts: 24 hours (7a - 7a) - requesting 2 stints of 5 shifts/month OR each weekend: Fri 7a - Mon 7a.
Also seeking availability for Thanksgiving and Christmas coverage. Facility is flexible around the exact Holiday dates, however needing Thursday, November 26, 2026, and Friday, December 25, 2026.
Rate: All inclusive (flat daily rate) requested.
