Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Hand SurgeryPhysician for a locums opportunity in Lakewood, CO. This role provides 24-hourcall coverage for a Level I Trauma Center, supporting emergency department andtransfer center consultations for hand-related injuries.
Compensation: $3200 Per Day
Schedule & Coverage Shift: 24-hour call coverage, 7:00 AM-7:00 AM
Weekend Coverage: Required
On-Call Requirements: Yes
Setting: Inpatient, Emergency Department, and Level I Trauma Center
EMR: Epic
Responsibilities Provide call coverage for emergency department and transfer center consultations involving hand injuries.
Evaluate and manage acute hand injuries requiring specialist care.
Coordinate treatment recommendations and care with emergency department and inpatient teams.
Determine appropriate management and transfer needs for hand surgery cases.
Document consultations and treatment plans in Epic.
Provide coverage for hand surgery emergencies; reimplantation procedures are not performed at this facility.
Requirements Board Certified in Hand Surgery or an applicable surgical specialty with hand surgery qualifications.
Active Colorado medical license.
Current DEA registration.
