Physician - Neurosurgery Locum Tenens Job in Petoskey, Michigan Board-certified Neurosurgeon locum tenens opportunity in Petoskey, MI, offering high-acuity hospital-based neurosurgery coverage, 24-hour call, rounding, and inpatient admission support. Join a supportive clinical team and provide meaningful care for both spinal and cranial neurosurgical cases in beautiful northern Michigan.
Job Details Position: Neurosurgeon, Physician Type: Locum tenens neurosurgery job Setting: Hospital-based neurosurgery coverage Location: Petoskey, Michigan Start Date: 10/1/2026 End Date: 12/31/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Coverage: 24-hour call coverage with rounding and admits; approximately 14 days per month Shift Duration: 12-hour days Estimated Weekly Pay: $6,270 - $7,420 Job Requirements Board certified in Neurosurgery; board eligible candidates are not accepted Minimum 2-3 years of post-fellowship experience required Active Michigan medical license required; IMLC may be considered with a 100% clean background ACLS required Must have a clean background with no actions Must be able to perform both spinal and cranial neurosurgery cases NPDB self-query required within one month of submission Responsibilities Provide 24-hour neurosurgical call coverage for a hospital-based patient population Perform inpatient rounding and manage daily admissions Evaluate and treat emergent neurosurgical consults in a timely manner Perform emergent surgeries as needed Deliver comprehensive care for both spinal and cranial neurosurgical cases Collaborate with on-site imaging, laboratory, procedure, operating room, and APP support teams Manage an average of 5-10 inpatients per day Why Consider This Michigan Neurosurgery Locum Tenens Opportunity?
