Job description
DeTar Hospital is seeking a BC/BE General Surgeon to join our established hospital-employed surgical team in Victoria, Texas.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join a thriving, well-established practice with immediate surgical volume, a strong referral network, and experienced physician colleagues. You'll work alongside two employed general surgeons while stepping into an active practice that offers the opportunity to build a busy surgical practice from day one.
Practice Highlights 100% hospital-employed position
Join an established team employed general surgeons (recruiting to maintain the group of three following one physician's departure)
Immediate access to an established referral base supported by 13 employed primary care providers and a Family Medicine Residency Program with 27 residents
Bread-and-butter general surgery with emergency surgery coverage
Advanced laparoscopic skills encouraged
Surgical endoscopy welcomed; candidates interested in performing endoscopy are highly desired
Opportunity to help expand advanced surgical services and keep more patients receiving care locally
Dedicated clinical and administrative support
Opportunity to participate in both general surgery and GI call based on experience and interest
Additional compensated call opportunities available beyond the standard call expectation
