Surgery SchedulerA Healthcare Company is looking for an experienced Surgery Scheduler to support physician practices in Tarzana, California, within a busy healthcare setting. This Surgery Scheduler position plays an important role in coordinating surgical appointments, guiding patients through the scheduling process, and helping maintain efficient clinic operations. The Surgery Scheduler role supports providers across multiple clinic locations and requires strong organization, clear communication, and confidence working with scheduling systems and insurance verification.Key Responsibilities:• Coordinate surgical procedure calendars for assigned physicians, ensuring appointments are booked accurately and aligned with provider availability.• Communicate with patients to review procedure dates, preparation steps, and required documentation before surgery.• Verify insurance coverage and obtain any necessary authorizations to support timely scheduling and reduce delays.• Enter and maintain accurate case details, patient information, and scheduling updates within Epic EMR.• Work closely with physicians, clinic staff, and surgical facilities to confirm logistics and resolve scheduling conflicts.• Travel between Tarzana and La Crescenta clinic locations as needed to provide scheduling support for both practices.• Monitor scheduling changes, cancellations, and rescheduled procedures while keeping all parties informed promptly.Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Sick Time Off.
