Cardiothoracic Surgeon (MD/DO) Locum Tenens Opportunity
York, Pennsylvania
A Cardiothoracic Surgery locum opportunity is available in York, PA, offering weekend call coverage with APP support in an inpatient setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a surgeon seeking consistent, ongoing coverage with a manageable call burden.
Assignment Overview Start Date: May 10, 2026
Setting: Inpatient Weekend Call Coverage
Schedule: Friday 12:00 PM Monday 7:00 AM
Coverage Needed: Approximately 3 weekends per month
Assignment Type: Ongoing
Clinical Responsibilities Provide cardiothoracic surgery call coverage
Respond to consults and urgent surgical cases
Provide backup support after initial consults
Manage patients from cath lab requiring surgical intervention
Practice Details APP support available
Average callback (including rounding): 2 4 hours
No TAVR procedures required
Patients who are stable may be managed until weekday team resumes
EMR: Epic
Requirements Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiac Surgery
Comfortable managing urgent cardiothoracic cases and call coverage
Ability to work collaboratively with APP support
