Vascular Surgeon - Findlay, OH 45m from Toledo, OHPosition Details Opportunity to lead in expanding and enhancing a robust, community-focused vascular surgery program with plans to recruit additional vascular surgeon and APP by end of 2027

Diverse & High-Quality Cases: Strong referral network to manage a full spectrum of open and endovascular cases

State-of-the-Art Facilities: Multidisciplinary collaboration with cardiology, interventional radiology, and other specialties; Hybrid OR (Planning for construction completion by 2027)

Supportive Team & Resources: Experienced care team, leadership and dedicated APP with strong hospital support

Clinical Excellence: Join a program recognized for its commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care

Practice Autonomy and Support: Practice autonomy with robust subspecialty support and a dedicated care team

Requirements BC/BE vascular surgeon with passion for clinical excellence, program-building and community engagement

Treat Abdominal and Thoracic Aneurysmal Disease, Carotid Disease, Hemodialysis Access, Peripheral Vascular Disease and Limb Salvage

Manage conditions with medications, lifestyle changes and non-surgical interventions

Call coverage for ten night/weekend shifts per month

Schedule includes (2) clinic days and (3) procedural days

Supervise advanced practitioner(s)

Educate patients and promote wellness, prevention, and early detection by providing materials, resources, and services to patients and their families

Maintain responsive, open communication with referring physicians

Participate in department, college, medical center and other service activities

Serve as preceptor and train residents, fellows, medical students, undergraduate and graduate students, nursing staff and other allied health medical professionals

Faculty Details The clinical faculty track exists for those faculty members whose principal career focus is teaching, clinical and translational research, delivery of exemplary clinical care and contribution to all college missions. The title for these appointments are Assistant/Associate/Professor. These faculty are typically, but not exclusively, physicians, and they must have a paid faculty appointment. The Ohio State University, Division of Vascular Diseases and SurgeryThe Division of Vascular Diseases and Surgery specializes in the comprehensive care of diseases of the arteries, veins and lymphatic system. Faculty in the division see over 7,942 outpatient visits and perform over 1,828 endovascular cases and major open vascular surgeries yearly. We specialize in complete care for any vascular condition, from a patient's initial visit, to diagnostic testing, interventional or minimally invasive endovascular treatments (such as stenting and angioplasty), open surgical treatments (such as bypass surgery) and most importantly, ongoing lifelong post-treatment care.Vascular Surgery Team: Our division's comprehensive team of surgeons and staff is dedicated to providing high-level vascular care to patients, contributing to innovations in medicine and educating medical students and fellows.Program Details Ohio State Aortic Center: The Ohio State Aortic Center combines the expertise of highly skilled physicians including vascular surgeons, cardiac surgeons and cardiologists to provide a tailored approach to each patient's care. This includes conventional surgery and new, minimally invasive procedures. In addition to scheduled aortic procedures, the Aortic Center also provides treatment for emergent and life threatening aneurysms.Limb Preservation Program: Vascular diseases, such as peripheral arterial disease and diabetes, account for more than half the amputations in the United States. With early intervention and expert care, many of these limbs could be saved. The experts at the Limb Preservation Program within the Comprehensive Wound Center offer a multidisciplinary approach and advanced techniques to treat patients with limb-threatening conditions.Ohio State Total Vein Care: Ohio State Total Vein Care, located within Outpatient Care Upper Arlington, is home to board certified vascular surgeons with more than 30 years' experience in the treatment of venous disease. Total Vein Care provides a variety of treatment options for those affected by spider or varicose veins. Total Vein Care is one of the only practices in central Ohio that only employs board certified vascular surgeons, therefore our surgeons are uniquely qualified to treat both the cosmetic and the underlying medical cause of patients' venous disease.Community Details Just South of Lake Erie sits the bustling midsized city of Findlay Äì the second-largest city in Northwest Ohio.
