Locums Vascular Surgery Portsmouth/Suffolk, VA (VA license required) Why This Role Flexible coverage needs
Clinic + call
Bread-and-butter vascular scope
Low inpatient volume
Local opportunity
Assignment Details Start/end: Anticipated March 1, 2027; ongoing coverage as needed
Coverage needs: Holiday, vacation, weekday and weekend coverage
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am-4:30pm + night call 4:30pm-8:30am
Weekend call: Friday-Monday, 4:30pm-8:30am
Additional coverage: 24-hour call as needed
Call type: Beeper/phone; 3 callback hours
Volume: 5-10 patients/day
Setting: 100% inpatient across two locations
Patient population: Adult and geriatric
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: 3-6 months; no temporary privileges
Clinical Details Bread-and-butter Vascular Surgery
Dialysis access
Inpatient vascular surgical coverage
Daily coverage + night/weekend call
Requirements Board certified in Vascular Surgery
Vascular Surgery fellowship required
Active VA license required
Active DEA
Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number
Malpractice provided
Local/all-inclusive assignment; no travel reimbursement
