Job description

Surgical CoordinatorResponsible for coordinating and maintaining surgical schedules for the practice. Coordinates with hospitals to arrange for patient pre-op testing, medical clearances. Responsible for triaging phone calls appropriately and maintaining the Physician's weekly schedule, including coordinating academic meetings and travel arrangements.Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintains surgical schedules for the practice. Obtains authorizations when needed.Coordinates with hospitals to schedule and arrange all patient pre-op testing, medical clearances, etc.Triages patient phone calls appropriately for office visits, tests, surgeries, and other encounters.Prepares patients' charts and files related patient records.Contact and confirm dates and time of procedures with patients.Maintains Physician's weekly schedule.
