Job description
The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of General Surgery, is seeking full-time Clinical Associates at 100% effort for renewable terms of up to two years. Appointees will provide care for breast, endocrine, and melanoma surgery patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Practice location is Ascension St. Joseph Hospital - Chicago. These positions do not require teaching or scholarly activity. Compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) is dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. New ambulatory facilities are located in Orland Park and River East, and the Ingalls Health System has recently integrated into the network.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must:
1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent
2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois
3) be Board certified or eligible in General Surgery
4) have completed an accredited fellowship in General Surgical Oncology or equivalent training
