Job Description
Perform thorough patient evaluations, conducting physical assessments alongside comprehensive medical history reviews
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging tests and lab findings
Work in close alignment with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment protocols
Provide comprehensive intraoperative support — prepping operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and managing the flow of surgical instruments
Administer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education
Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Preferred completion of clinical rotations focusing on surgical practices
Certifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certification are essential
State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
Skills
Thorough understanding of surgical methodologies and sterile protocols
Ability to interpret diagnostic evaluations and collaborate on intricate clinical decisions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
