Join a Surgical Team that Values Precision and Compassion

Operating rooms vibrate with their own unique rhythms — a symphony of trust, communication, and precision. As a Physician Assistant with a passion for surgery, your impact goes far beyond the operating table; it unfolds at the bedside, during follow-ups, and behind the scenes where true healing begins.

We are on the hunt for a meticulous, dedicated PA to support our surgical services team in a full-time capacity. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with skilled surgeons and empathetic nurses, ensuring every patient's surgical journey is seamless, supported, and wholly focused on their well-being. From educating patients during pre-op appointments to confidently assisting during surgeries, your tangible contributions will be felt daily in a community that truly values your talent and commitment.

Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and detailed medical history assessments

Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through adept interpretation of imaging studies and lab results

Work in tandem with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans

Participate actively in the OR, preparing surgery rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments with skill

Provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care, which involves medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education

Qualifications

Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program

Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practice is highly desirable

Licenses & Certifications

Required certifications in BLS and ACLS

State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant

Core Competencies

Strong understanding of surgical techniques and sterile practices

Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic tests and make informed clinical decisions

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to excel in high-pressure environments, particularly in surgical settings

Empathetic bedside manner, respecting each patient's dignity and autonomy

What We Offer

Competitive salary with performance-based incentives

Comprehensive health benefits package (medical, dental, vision)

Generous paid time off along with CME reimbursement

A cooperative team atmosphere with access to state-of-the-art facilities and resources

Opportunities for career growth within a dynamic and evolving healthcare landscape

Your Essential Part in the Surgical Experience

Embracing the role of a Surgical Physician Assistant transcends technical proficiency; it involves exuding a calm presence amidst unexpected challenges, and offering comfort to patients when apprehension overshadows hope. Your role is not just visible in the OR, but also as a reassuring voice along hallways, guiding families through diagnoses and empowering patients to take their next steps towards recovery.

Your collaboration encompasses a spectrum from minimally invasive procedures to intricate surgeries. But your influence will resonate post-operatively as well — engaging in follow-up discussions, monitoring recovery, and participating in long-term care strategies. Your insights are valued, and your clinical judgment will be relied upon in moments that make a difference.

This is a healthcare team that appreciates your unique perspective, where every successful outcome hinges on collective effort, founded on trust, humility, and earnest care.
