Job Description

Perform thorough patient evaluations, featuring physical assessments and comprehensive medical history reviews

Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting lab results and imaging studies

Work tightly with surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment options

Offer vital support during operations, prepping surgical spaces and ensuring proper patient positioning while delivering instruments with skill

Provide superior pre- and post-operative care including medicine management, wound tending, discharge guidance, and patient education

Education

Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program

Prior completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical experience is strongly preferred

Certifications

Current and unrestricted PA-C certification required

BLS and ACLS certification mandatory

State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant

Skills

In-depth knowledge of surgical principles and sterile practices

A proven track record of interpreting diagnostics and participating in intricate clinical decisions

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to remain composed and productive under pressure, particularly during surgeries
