Job Description
Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories
Assist in the evaluation and diagnosis of surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab results
Collaborate intimately with surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment plans
Provide intraoperative support, preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and passing surgical instruments with confidence during procedures
Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and patient education
Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Preferably completed clinical rotations with an emphasis on surgery
Certifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
Required BLS and ACLS certifications
State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
Skills
Strong understanding of surgical principles and rigorous sterilization techniques
Proven capability to analyze diagnostic tests and participate in complex clinical decisions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
