Surgical Physician Assistant

Job Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, including in-depth physical examinations and assessments of medical histories
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by evaluating imaging results and lab data
Work alongside surgeons to develop and implement patient-centric surgical plans
Provide intraoperative support by preparing surgical environments, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and assisting with instrument handling
Administer exceptional preoperative and postoperative care, including patient education, wound management, and discharge protocols
Education Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Strongly preferred: Completion of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practice
Certifications
Current and unrestricted PA-C certification
Required: BLS and ACLS certifications
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Skills
Robust understanding of surgical techniques and sterile procedures
Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic evaluations and participate in intricate clinical decision-making
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Capacity to perform well in high-pressure situations, particularly in surgical environments
