Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical evaluations and comprehensive medical history reviews
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions via the interpretation of imaging and laboratory results
Work in synergy with surgeons to formulate and implement personalized surgical treatment plans
Provide support during procedures by preparing surgical suites, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing surgical tools
Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including medication management, wound treatment, discharge organization, and patient education
Education Requirements
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
Preferably completed clinical rotations with a focus on surgery
Certification & Licensure
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certification required
State licensure (or eligibility to become licensed) as a Physician Assistant
Required Skills
Strong understanding of surgical protocols and sterile procedures
Proficient in interpreting diagnostic evaluations and engaging in complex clinical choices
Superior communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to perform well under pressure, especially during surgical procedures
