Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical exams and comprehensive evaluations of medical histories
Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions by analyzing imaging studies and lab results
Work closely with surgeons to formulate and implement patient-specific surgical plans
Offer intraoperative assistance, including preparing surgical suites, ensuring correct patient positioning, and passing instruments during operations
Provide exceptional pre- and post-operative patient care, including administering medications, tending to wounds, planning discharges, and educating patients
Required Education
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
Clinical rotations with a focus on surgery are highly preferred
Certification Requirements
Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
