nSeeking an energetic and motivated Physician Assistant to join our growing Ears Nose & Throat Division! Our team currently has 7 Physician Assistants and 16 ENT Physicians. The Physician Assistant role will consist of outpatient clinic duties delineated below. The Physician Assistant will also facilitate admissions and transfers from other hospitals, triage calls and take messages. Our Physician Assistants may travel to Marina Del Rey and Tarzana satellite locations to care for patients.
nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
nnnSee patients in clinic, perform comprehensive physical examinations, and compile patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
n
nnAdminister or orders diagnostic tests, such as imaging, and laboratory tests, and interpret test results for deviations from normal.
n
nnPerform in-office therapeutic procedures such as endoscopic evaluations, injections, suturing, suture removal, ear wax removal, incision and drainage procedures, and wound care.
n
nnDevelop and implement patient management plans, record progress notes, and assist in provision of continuity of care.
n
nnInstruct and counsel patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens.
n
nnNo first assist in the Operating Room, however, will assist physicians with in-office procedures.
n
nnOther duties may be assigned.
n
nnWill provide care to children including newborns to adolescents.
n
n n**General clinic office hours: 8am to 5pm, however, must be flexible to work up to 8pm
n**Must be available to participate in grand rounds, tumor boards and other educational activities
n**Travel to Marina Del Rey and Tarzana satellite locations to care for patients is required
