Job Duties
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and comprehensive medical history analyses
Support in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical conditions through the interpretation of imaging and laboratory results
Work collaboratively with the surgical team to create and implement individualized surgical treatment strategies
Provide vital intraoperative assistance, including preparing surgical environments, ensuring proper patient positioning, and managing instruments during procedures
Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical specialty is highly preferred
Certifications
Current and active PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications required
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Essential Skills
Robust understanding of surgical practices and sterile techniques
Proven capability to interpret diagnostic tests and aid in complex clinical decision-making
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to excel under pressure, particularly during surgeries
