Job Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients, including physical examinations and meticulous evaluations of medical histories.
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through detailed interpretation of imaging studies and lab results.
Work closely with surgeons to create and implement personalized surgical treatment plans.
Provide intraoperative support that involves preparing operating rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and timely handoff of surgical instruments.
Deliver exemplary pre- and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, assisting with discharge planning, and educating patients.
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Completion of clinical rotations with a surgical emphasis is highly preferred.
Certifications
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification.
BLS and ACLS certification are required.
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant.
