Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and extensive medical history evaluations
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging and laboratory results
Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment plans
Provide essential intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, maintaining patient positioning, and skillfully passing instruments as needed
Ensure outstanding pre- and post-operative patient care, such as administering medications, managing wound care, planning discharges, and delivering educational support
Educational Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Preference for candidates with completed clinical rotations focused on surgical practices
Required Certifications
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications are necessary
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Essential Skills
