Key Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and comprehensive medical history reviews
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging results and laboratory findings
Work alongside surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical treatment strategies
Provide critical support in the OR, including room preparation, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and managing surgical instruments
Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
Education Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Pursuit of clinical rotations with a focus on surgical experiences is highly recommended
Certifications
Valid and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
