Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories.
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and laboratory results.
Work in partnership with surgeons to develop and implement individualized surgical plans.
Offer intraoperative assistance, preparing operating rooms, ensuring safe patient positioning, and efficiently handling surgical instruments during procedures.
Provide exceptional pre- and post-operative care, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge instructions, and patient education.
Required Education
A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Completion of clinical rotations emphasizing surgical practice is strongly preferred.
Required Certifications
A current and valid PA-C certification.
BLS and ACLS certification are required.
State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant.
