Job Responsibilities
Perform detailed patient assessments, covering thorough physical examinations and in-depth evaluations of medical histories.
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by analyzing imaging studies and lab results.
Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans for each patient.
Provide essential support during surgeries, including preparing the operating room, ensuring proper patient positioning, and facilitating open communication during procedures by handling instruments efficiently.
Offer outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which comprises administering medications, tending to wounds, coordinating discharge instructions, and educating patients on their care journey.
Educational Background
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program.
Completion of clinical rotations with a primary focus on surgery is highly desirable.
Certifications
Current and unrestricted certification as a PA-C.
Required certifications in BLS and ACLS.
State licensure as a Physician Assistant or eligibility for licensure.
