Role Responsibilities
Perform in-depth patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and meticulous histories
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through adept interpretation of imaging studies and laboratory analyses
Partner with surgical teams to formulate and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
Provide intraoperative assistance, preparing operating rooms, ensuring correct patient positioning, and efficiently passing instruments during surgeries
Offer outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes medication management, wound treatment, discharge planning, and patient education
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant education program
Preferred experience with clinical rotations focused on surgical practices
Licensure and Certifications
Unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications mandatory
State licensure status (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Core Skills
Solid foundation in surgical principles and proficiency in sterile techniques
Adept ability to analyze diagnostic tests and participate in complex clinical decision-making
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
