Job Details
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and comprehensive reviews of medical histories
Assist with the identification and diagnosis of surgical issues, leveraging imaging studies and lab results
Work side-by-side with surgeons to devise and implement tailored surgical strategies
Support intraoperative activities, such as preparing operating rooms, securing patient positioning, and efficiently passing surgical instruments
Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative care: medication management, wound care, discharge preparations, and patient education
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Experience in clinical rotations with a surgical focus is highly preferred
Certifications
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications required
State licensing (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Attributes
Strong understanding of surgical methodologies and sterile techniques
