Create With Care, Collaborate With Skill — Become a Surgical Physician Assistant in Vibrant Portland, Oregon

Every operating room pulsates with its unique rhythm — a blend of trust, precision, and seamless communication. As a Physician Assistant specializing in surgical care, you are aware of how vital your role is: extending beyond the OR and flourishing at the patient's bedside, during consultations, and even in the quieter moments where true healing begins.

We invite a devoted, meticulous PA to join our surgical team in a full-time capacity. Here, you will be standing alongside esteemed surgeons and empathetic nurses, orchestrating a patient journey that is not just effective but is centered around their comfort and care. Whether you're educating patients before surgery or confidently passing instruments during procedures, your contributions will be impactful each day in a workplace that genuinely acknowledges your skill and dedication.

Solid understanding of surgical techniques and sterile protocols

Demonstrated capability to interpret diagnostic results and engage in complex medical decision-making

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to perform under pressure, particularly in surgical settings

Empathic approach to patient interactions, with an unwavering respect for their autonomy and dignity

Benefits

Competitive salary paired with performance-based incentives

Comprehensive health insurance package (medical, dental, vision)

Ample paid time off coupled with CME reimbursement

A supportive workplace culture with access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities

Opportunities for professional growth in a forward-thinking healthcare environment

Your Role in the Surgical Experience

Being a Surgical Physician Assistant transcends mere technical expertise — it's about bringing calm confidence to complex situations, and providing comfort when anxiety overshadows hope. You will be active in the operating room, but you will also be a reassuring presence in the corridors, outlining diagnoses, guiding families, and assisting patients in navigating their healing journey.

Your collaborations will encompass everything from minimally invasive procedures to intricate inpatient surgeries. But your influence doesn't stop at surgery: you will play a pivotal role post-operatively through wound assessments, recovery discussions, and long-term care planning. Your insights are valued, and your clinical judgment trusted in discussions—whether big or small.

This is a workplace that appreciates your input and understands that every successful surgical outcome is a product of teamwork, built on mutual respect, dedication, and genuine care.

Here, the mountains kiss the skyline, coffee shops buzz with creativity, and food trucks blend cultural flavors in an unexpected but delightful way.

Dare to take a weekend trip to the nearby Columbia River Gorge, where stunning hikes bring you closer to nature's beauty. Enjoy evenings at one of Portland's renowned microbreweries, where each brew is crafted with the same care you extend to your patients. In this community, warmth extends beyond the weather; genuine connections flourish, and you'll often find folks keen to engage in conversations that matter.

With no state income tax and a flourishing job market, life here allows your earnings to stretch meaningfully, offering you the chance to truly embrace your off-hours. It's a lovely intersection of work and leisure — a genuine opportunity to build a fulfilling life.

Who We Seek

We are searching for a Physician Assistant who welcomes challenges and remains grounded amid them — a candidate who thrives in acute care settings and appreciates the value of detailed organization. We need someone who prioritizes listening, extends support before assuming leadership, and is always eager to learn as much as they impart.

You might be at the dawn of your surgical journey or bringing years of valuable experience — what matters more to us is your character than just your qualifications. If you possess a sharp intellect, a steady hand, and a compassionate drive to heal, you will find your perfect place here.

Join Us Where Care Meets Collaboration

This position transcends a mere job title. It is a commitment to enable individuals to regain their strength, rediscover their mobility, and return to their lives refreshed and renewed.

Become part of a team that recognizes every contribution, celebrates each success, and values the individual behind the medical charts. If you are ready to harness your surgical talents in a region that harmonizes clinical excellence with profound human connection, we would be thrilled to connect with you.
