Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical examinations
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through careful analysis of imaging studies and lab findings
Work collaboratively with surgeons to design and implement individualized surgical treatment strategies
Provide intraoperative assistance, including preparing surgical rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and handling instruments with care during operations
Offer exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, planning for discharges, and educating patients effectively
Education and Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Experience in clinical rotations with a surgical focus is strongly preferred
Certifications
Current and valid PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications are required
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
