Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, encompassing physical evaluations and comprehensive medical history reviews.
Assist in the diagnosis and evaluation of surgical issues by analyzing imaging studies and laboratory results.
Partner with surgeons in formulating and executing personalized surgical treatment plans for each patient.
Provide vital intraoperative support, preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during procedures.
Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including medication administration, wound management, patient education, and discharge planning.
Qualifications
A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
Experience in clinical rotations with a surgical emphasis preferred.
Certifications
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification.
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant in the state.
Skills
In-depth knowledge of surgical principles and maintaining sterile environments.
Proficient in interpreting diagnostic tests and facilitating complex clinical decision-making.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
