Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, encompassing physical assessments and comprehensive medical history reviews
Assist in the assessment and diagnosis of surgical issues by interpreting imaging and lab results
Work in tandem with surgeons to formulate and implement patient-specific surgical treatment strategies
Offer critical intraoperative support by preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and managing the delivery of surgical instruments
Provide outstanding pre- and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wounds, planning for discharges, and educating patients
Educational Background
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Completed clinical rotations with a surgical focus are preferred
Certifications Required
Current and unrestricted PA-C credential
BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant is required
