Job Description
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical examinations and comprehensive reviews of medical histories
Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions through the analysis of imaging studies and lab findings
Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical care plans for patients
Provide essential intraoperative assistance, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring patient safety, and managing surgical instruments during procedures
Deliver outstanding pre- and post-operative support, encompassing medication management, wound care, discharge planning, and patient education
Education
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
Preferred completion of clinical rotations with a surgical focus
Certifications
Current and valid PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications required
State licensure or eligibility as a Physician Assistant
Skills
Deep understanding of surgical principles and sterile techniques
Proven ability to interpret diagnostic tests and engage in complex clinical decision-making
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
Capacity to perform in high-pressure situations, especially within surgical contexts
