Job Role Responsibilities
Perform thorough assessments for patients, including medical evaluations and histories
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through analysis of imaging studies and lab tests
Partner closely with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
Offer intraoperative assistance, which includes preparing surgical settings, ensuring proper patient positions, and efficiently passing instruments
Conduct superior pre- and post-operative care, which encompasses medication administration, wound management, discharge planning, and thorough patient education
Qualifications
Completed a Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
Preferably, focused experience through clinical rotations in a surgical environment
Essential Certifications
Current PA-C certification that is active and unrestricted
Required certifications in both BLS and ACLS
State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant
Desirable Skills
Proficient in surgical principles and maintained sterile techniques
Ability to interpret diagnostics and engage in complex clinical decision-making
Exceptional interpersonal and communicational aptitude
