Job Description
Perform thorough assessments of patients, including physical examinations and comprehensive medical history evaluations
Assist in evaluating and diagnosing surgical cases by analyzing imaging studies and lab results
Work collaboratively with surgeons to formulate and implement tailored surgical treatment strategies
Provide essential intraoperative assistance, including preparing surgical facilities, confirming patient positioning, and managing instrument transfers during procedures
Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative support, which includes medication administration, wound treatment, discharge planning, and patient education
Education
Master's degree from a recognized Physician Assistant program
Preferably completed clinical rotations with a focus on surgical practices
Certifications
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
Certifications in BLS and ACLS are mandatory
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Skills
In-depth understanding of surgical techniques and sterile practices
Demonstrated ability to interpret diagnostic evaluations and contribute to complex medical decisions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Capacity to excel in high-pressure scenarios, especially during surgical procedures
