Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and comprehensive medical history evaluations
Assist in diagnosing surgical issues through the analysis of imaging and laboratory results
Work alongside surgeons to develop and implement personalized surgical treatment plans
Provide vital intraoperative assistance, preparing surgical environments, ensuring appropriate patient positioning, and handing instruments effectively during procedures
Administer exceptional pre-operative and post-operative care, including medication management, wound dressing, discharge planning, and patient education
Education
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant educational program
Clinical rotations with a surgical focus preferred
Certifications
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications required
State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant
Skills
In-depth knowledge of surgical concepts and adherence to sterile techniques
