Your Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments, performing detailed physical exams and comprehensive medical history evaluations
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions through the careful interpretation of imaging studies and lab results
Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to design and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
Provide pivotal intraoperative support, including preparing operating rooms, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and efficiently passing surgical instruments
Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, from administering medications and attending to wounds to planning discharges and educating patients
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Completion of clinical rotations, particularly in surgical settings, is strongly encouraged
Certifications Needed
Active and unrestricted PA-C certification
BLS and ACLS certifications required
State licensure (or eligibility) for a Physician Assistant in California
Essential Skills
Solid grasp of surgical principles and adeptness in sterile techniques
Proven capability to analyze diagnostic tests and engage in important clinical decisions
Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
