Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and detailed medical history reviews
Assist in diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting lab results and imaging studies
Work collaboratively with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical treatment plans
Provide essential intraoperative assistance, including prepping the surgical site, securing patient positioning, and managing surgical instruments during operations
Deliver outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, which includes administering medications, managing wound care, providing discharge planning, and educating patients
Qualifications
Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Prior clinical experience focusing on surgical rotations is strongly preferred
Certifications
Current and unrestricted certification as a PA-C
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Eligibility for state licensure as a Physician Assistant
