Job Responsibilities
Perform thorough patient evaluations, including comprehensive physical examinations and in-depth reviews of medical histories
Assist in the diagnosis and assessment of surgical conditions through meticulous interpretation of lab results and imaging studies
Work in close collaboration with surgeons to develop and implement tailored surgical care plans for each patient
Provide essential intraoperative support by preparing surgical environments, ensuring optimal patient positioning, and skillfully managing surgical instruments during operations
Offer outstanding pre-operative and post-operative care, including administering medications, managing wound care, and facilitating discharge planning and patient education
Education Requirements
A Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Completion of clinical rotations emphasizing surgical practice is highly preferred
Certification Credentials
Active, unrestricted PA-C certification
Current BLS and ACLS certifications are mandatory
State licensure (or eligibility) to practice as a Physician Assistant
